Wild Life
In 1909 a remittance man arrives on the Canadian prairie with a tennis racket, a gramophone and no idea what winter is. Painted in loose, luminous brushwork and structured around the metaphor of a comet, it watches a man burn up quietly in an atmosphere he was never built for.
