Emily Prime is collected from her living room by a distant clone of herself and given a tour of the future: outsourced memories, discount immortality, a moon full of the discarded. Hertzfeldt draws stick figures over fields of digital light and produces one of the most emotionally overwhelming science-fiction films of the century.
